I have decided to start a new day. A day that is not determined by the chaos in this world. I kinda lost my desire to write for awhile and became somewhat bitter at the things going on in our very difficult world. I shut down. I suspect I was not alone on this trip. COVID slipped in and caused even more unrest and difficult situations and great sadness .
If we start our day with the television news we have already started down the road to stolen peace and joy. God’s word is the perfect way to begin each day. One might say we know the author personally. We should want to read His great work and His secrets for a good trip through this life. We just have one ticket and we want to make it the best it can be.
So if we start each day with a cup of coffee or our favorite tea and perhaps a seat in a quiet place or better yet sitting on the patio or porch, we can align our thoughts with our Heavenly Father’s. I love the beautiful good morning sunrise events we have as the fall season approaches and the mornings are cool and fresh. Prayer time can convey our intercessions for those we know who are needing prayer and for our day to go well and our goals to be met.
If you are not a morning person then the end of the day works just as well. You can find that quite place to touch God’s word and pray over the blessings of the day and the moments that you didn’t feel all that blessed. Whatever our needs, God is always listening and waiting to hear from His children.
Scripture:
Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. KJV
Hello Father! Thank You for every new day! We are blessed to get the opportunity to start over each morning. We desire to greet you first thing of the morning or the last thing of our evening. To be still and listen for what You would have us learn about navigating this world. We pray for those who grieve and who are sick. We pray for comfort and for healing. Forgive us of our sins and where we fall short. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
