All That He Has Promised

We have had a great celebration as a nation. Celebration is good. Now we get back to our normal routine. Business as usual. What exactly is business as usual?

Working as unto the Lord. Working as unto the Lord in the workplace, home, and among family and friends.

Consider everything we do, as doing it for the Lord. We may find appreciation lacking. We may find concern lacking. We may find relationships lacking but our Lord lacks nothing. Lack is not a word I associate with Christ. To work as unto Him brings honor to an already beautiful relationship. He is our Savior. Our part? We are his feet, His light and His love, everywhere we go. Honoring Him in all things, in all places, with all people. Confident that He is able to lead us through to a victorious finish.

Our scripture is encouraging us to stay confident. Keep on moving. Do not let anything get between us and our confidence in our Lord Jesus Christ. It is when we let other things get between us and Christ that troubles come.

So how do we handle difficult situations? With an abundance of “Grace.” Because Jesus extended grace to us, we cannot help but do the same when we find difficult days, people and situations at our door. He did not lash out at us. He waited patiently as a Good Shepherd does and when we got far enough out on the ledge, He lifted us to a safe place. Everyone deserves to find that safe place in the green pastures.

Our scripture tells us to be patient in endurance and continue to do God’s will.

We all have buttons. You can bet your Sunday lunch that our enemy knows where those buttons are. His goal is to get us to move out of God’s will by saying and doing things that destroy our witness before others. We might consider that as part of the endurance test. Don’t allow anger, bitterness, hatred, or the other multitude of worldly ways to handle problems, drag us kicking and screaming from God’s will back into the old us, we used to be.

There is a promise in this scripture that if we are patient and endure in His will, we will receive “all” that He has promised. (NLT)

He will supply our needs(Phil 4:18), provide sufficient grace (2 Cor 12:9), provide an escape from temptation (1 Cor 10:13), assurance that all things will work together for good (Rom 8:28), forgiveness of sin unto salvation (1 John 1:9), and eternal life (John 10:27-28).

All the promises above our ours for remaining confident in our trust, patiently enduring, and continuing in His will.

~Thought For Today~

It is Monday. A new day. First day of a new week. A day to make changes if needed. Dedicate our day, our words, thoughts and deeds, completely to our Lord, Jesus Christ. Is it gonna be hard? It sure might be. But a day given to the will of our Lord will be a good day.

~Scripture For Today~

Ephesians 6:7

With good will render service, as to the Lord, and not to men. (NASB)

Hebrews 10:35-36

35  So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! 36  Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. (NLT)

~Prayer For Today~

Hello Father! We pray everything we do is unto You. We pray we are Your feet, Your light and Your love on this earth. We pray we run the race with courage and patient endurance in all situations. Please forgive us of our sins. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
