It wasn’t until recently that I “stopped to smell the roses.” I have worked nearly all of my adult life. Raising children and keeping a household left too little time to stop and see the beautiful love letters our Father sends.
Every morning He sends what I consider to be a spectacular greeting in the form of a sunrise. In my hurrying to run errands and get to work promptly every morning, I just did not take the time to pause and look around.
Of note, the most beautiful sunrise is the one that shines on a cloudy day. On a clear sky day the sun rises and that big yellow orb is beautiful. But the pallet of colors on a cloudy day? Breathtaking!!
As the clouds enhance the beauty of the sun rising, the clouds and storms in our lives bring our colors to the surface as well. Perhaps, the courage and strength that trials bring also color our lives.
Scripture for Today:
Psalm 113:3 From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD’s name is to be praised.
Prayer for Today:
Hello Father! You greet us each morning with a beautiful sunrise, even on the cloudy days. Father, we pray that our colors come through just as beautifully on the cloudy days of our lives. Thank you that you watch over us and you make us aware of your majesty each and every day. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
