Just A Moment To Ponder

When all is said and done. When the day is finished. The labors have seen results. The prayers spoken have become answers. The fears have been silenced for now. We sit quietly and ponder.

Have you ever been so tired from battle that you just fall into your chair and wonder, “Where is my energy?” You are drained by the concerns of the day. Exhausted from constant prayer to change the scenario to something better than what the enemy is telling you will happen. It is then, in total exhaustion that we ponder? Ponder, is to think about something carefully, especially before coming to a conclusion. So let us ponder…

We know God hears our prayers. We also know that satan desires to convince us He does not.  Yet we also know who wins that battle. Our enemy can take a run at our minds and whisper questions that cause confusion, fear and worry all day long.  That is his method of operation. But it is written that the prayers of the righteous avails much!

We make it through the day and sit quietly before sleeping. Pondering on what an awesome God we serve, or even better, that serves and cares for us. The creator of all things. He has stood close by as we experienced fearful moments at the what if this or what if that, days of our lives. The how will we be able or what if the answers do not come?  What if the results are bad?  What if the money is not there? What if the job is lost? What if the house slips from our reach?  What, what, what?

Then as if you are a child again,  asking far to many questions, you sense the Father saying “shhhhh” with His finger to His lips.  Be still and think. Listen to My voice only.  Be still and remember. Be still and linger here with Me. Remember, who I Am. Whether I am here with you or you are with Me in that place I have reserved for you. You are going to be fine. No losers in Christ Jesus. Those you love are going to be fine.  All who believe in My Son have nothing but victory in their future. Yes, there will be difficulties because evil was cast to the earth. But I am your defender. Jesus is your advocate in the court of opinion. I assure you that nothing can take you from my grasp.

Well, okay. Calm begins to return. Then, we open our Bible as we prepare to call this long day finished…There is the jewel. The words hand-picked for our eyes on this particular day.

You Father, granted us life today. You Father, showered us with favor today. You, Father cared for us. All of that has preserved our spirit to rest in the victories of today. One battle and one day at a time. No matter how small, victory is victory. We will rest and remember our history past. How You carried us when we could not walk. Tomorrow is not just another day. It will be another day You hath made and we will be glad and rejoice in it! Now this pondering has led us to a wonderful conclusion. Our Father will never leave us or forsake us. Our spirits have been preserved.

Prayer For Today:

Hello Father! Thank You for walking us through another day. For hearing the prayers for all those we love and care for. But especially that You granted us life and favor today. It is Your care that preserves our spirit to continue the work You have for us. Father we ask for Your blessings and protection on those who travel. Forgive us of our sins. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
