Finally, the drenching rains come. We don’t realize what a blessing rain is until we go too long without it. There have been lots of prayers prayed for the kind of rain that fell today. So awesome.
All things come from our sovereign God. The rain, our salvation, righteousness. Everything, comes from our God.
Salvation is not something to be squandered. It is a precious gift. Those who have found salvation should be bearers of the fruits of righteousness. Witnesses, of the goodness that is our God. Salvation and righteousness go hand in hand. Where one is found the other should be there as well. Showers of blessings.
Right now it looks as if there is no truth, no righteousness on the earth. Nothing but evil in the form of corruption, rioting, terrorism, misbehaving, loss of the trust placed in high places, by citizens.
But, God will not be mocked. He will bless those who fear Him in the midst of the chaos and the evil. Truth will prevail. The Lord will indeed bless those who worship Him, with good things. Among those good things are peace, hope and faith in the midst of evil.
He is our mighty God. He reigns over the earth and the spiritual realm as well. Nothing escapes Him. Not one thing.
Scripture For Today:
Isaiah 45:8
8 “Drip down, O heavens, from above, And let the clouds pour down righteousness; Let the earth open up and salvation bear fruit, And righteousness spring up with it. I, the Lord, have created it. (NASB)
Psalms 85:9-13
9 Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him, That glory may dwell in our land. 10 Lovingkindness and truth have met together; Righteousness and peace have kissed each other. 11 Truth springs from the earth, And righteousness looks down from heaven. 12 Indeed, the Lord will give what is good, And our land will yield its produce. 13 Righteousness will go before Him And will make His footsteps into a way. (NASB)
