I am tired tonight. Bone weary tired. Have you been there before? There were times when Jesus would become weary and take a moment to himself away from the noise of the world.
That is where I am tonight. Though I am tired, I am happy. We are to lie down in peace. Our Shepherd sits in the gate to let His sheep rest without fear. We don’t have to be wrestling and full of worry and dread. We simply listen for the sweet voice of our Shepherd…hear Him calling you into the fold of peace?
Thought For The Day:
We can get busy enjoying the things God calls us to do each day. Sometimes Bible study will revive me at the wrong time of the evening and instead of preparing to slow down and retire I find myself invigorated by a scripture. Instead of going to bed at a wise hour, I sat up most of last night reading and study. Not sure if there is wisdom in that. God wants us to come looking for Him In His word, but how can we be happy believers in the day if we lose our rest at night? So here I go…rest is at my door. I hope the morning sunrise finds a heart of peace, a smile upon your beautiful face and a rested body to do the work He has placed before you.

Prayer For Today:
Hello Father! It has been a good week. Oh we have had some rough places but the blessings smooth those over quite well. Thank You for a safe place to rest from the fears that hold the world. Let us rise up tomorrow in perfect peace, rested and ready to go again. Forgive us of our sins. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
