It is Friday! It is written that we should be thrilled at all the Lord has done for us. Don’t we just get entirely too busy and bogged down with problems? Do you find yourself thinking more about the things that didn’t turn out quite as you planned, rather than those incredible things that went perfectly? God was the author of those moments in our life.
Those that didn’t pan out? Those are momentary difficulties. Recall the things this past week that God has done for You that brings you joy. Right this moment, just pause and think of ONE thing! Now for just a moment offer up a sacrifice of praise. You Lord, were here for me. You were my helper and blessed me. Thank You Father!
Something happens when we think on the things God has done for us. The mean demons flying around creating havoc get upset. Above all things they do not like to hear praise to the Savior of the world. That name? Jesus? They tremble at His name. So send them flying this Friday morning.
Keep your eyes on Jesus! Opportunities to receive and give joy abound. Blessings are waiting with your name on them!
Scripture For Today:
Psalm 92:4-5
4 You thrill me, Lord, with all you have done for me! I sing for joy because of what you have done. (NLT)
Psalm 27:5-7
⁵For he will conceal me there when troubles come; he will hide me in his sanctuary. He will place me out of reach on a high rock. ⁶ Then I will hold my head high above my enemies who surround me. At his sanctuary I will offer sacrifices with shouts of joy, singing and praising the Lord with music. (NLT)
Prayer For Today:
Hello Father! If we are not careful, we just focus entirely on all the things that are going wrong. We forget the good things. So this morning we offer You a sacrifice praise…full of joy! Thank You for the smiles of strangers, the hugs of family and friends, the birth of babies, excellent education opportunities, answered prayers, job opportunities…we could just fill in the blanks Father with all that went right this week. Forgive us of our sins. We thank You in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
