Someday

Someday when I am able to buy that high dollar camera, I will take great photos. Someday when I lose weight, I will buy clothes more to my liking. Someday when I have that degree, I will be successful. Someday when, I am over the pain and memories, I will forgive. Someday when all the legal issues are over, I will relax. Someday when I own that home, I will be happy. Someday, someday, someday…

We all say “someday when.” Is someday when, really going to make a difference? If we are believers,  then we are confident that every step is ordered by our Heavenly Father. He is our guide and the source from whom all blessings flow. We are where we are now and we have what we have, for a reason. Whatever our experience today, it is permitted to make us strong witnesses for Christ. If we find peace where we are today, working with what we have…The time will come for the harvest of our dreams.

We have the tools now to reach our goals and dreams. First we learn to work in the field with what we have. The iPhone photos, the clothes in our closet, and letting go now, even before the pain is gone, and…Forgive. Study hard and get those grades. Live in that home God has provided and make it our temporary dream house. Rest in peace that God has our future in His hands. When we have done all that God planned for us with the “now” blessings, we will move on to the “dream” things. The camera, the diploma, smaller size clothes, days of peace and contentment about our future, and the house!!!

~Scripture For Today~

Proverbs 24:7

27 Do your planning and prepare your fields before building your house. (NLT)

~Prayer For Today~

Hello Father! Help us realize satisfaction with what we have and where we are now. Keep our minds in the present moment. Keep us from being distracted by things that have not come to pass yet. Thank You for what we have today. The blessings You have already given us. Let us see this day as our very best day thus far and work with anticipation of what You have prepared for us in the future. This is not a day of lack! This is a glorious day of abundant blessings. Let us live it to the fullest. Forgive us of our sins. In Jesus name. Amen.

  1. While I read every post, I don’t always comment. This one, however, got me thinking, and that’s what a good post does. They’re all good, Kathy, but this one is exceptionally good. It certainly touched me!
