I take photos of the sun rising and the sun setting as often as I can. I seek out the sun on cloudy days, as those days offer the most beautiful color. So, too, the days that our lives are clouded with troubles and difficulties, are the days when the light of His presence is the most radiant.
We recall, time spent on the mount with the Lord, left Moses with a glow on his face so radiant that he wore a veil to keep from frightening the people. There again was the light of the Lord’s presence. When we spend time with the Lord we also have that light in our demeanor and spirit. Scripture also says that he led the Hebrew children through the wilderness with a cloud by day and fire by night. His presence, to keep them from becoming disheartened and giving up. He sheltered them from the heat of the day with a cloud and gave light to the darkness of the wilderness, at night.
Though we have days clouded with all kinds of disruptions, still the light of His presence is there. We just need to look for it. We need to seek it out. We need to look for it in our devotional time, in the joy of those He places around us to inspire us to find the same joy they have.
Times are difficult now. The future doesn’t always look so bright. That is the plan of our enemy. He wants us to see nothing but doom and gloom. He wants us to focus our eyes on all that is wrong, the darkness in a situation instead of the radiant glimmer of light and hope, that is Christ.
So, how do we find the light of His presence? Spend time with the one who has radiant rays flashing from His hand. Send your concerns to Him in a simple conversation with him. He knows what you need, but like any good Father, He wants to hear the voice of His children. Then, look for opportunities to share the radiant light of Christ. No one wants to be around someone who is always down and pessimistic. Always, finding the glass half empty instead of half full. Constantly whining about what isn’t, instead of what is. Find your blessings, though small they may be. Just thinking on them brings a light to your countenance that then will draw others to ask, “What is it that causes you to find joy in this day?” Perfect opportunity to report, “It is the light of His presence, that brings me comfort. He has overcome death, through the crucifixion of Christ. Because He did, I have too.”

~Prayer For Today~
Hello Father! We praise Your Holy Name. We thank you for the light of Your presence available to all who seek. We pray for eyes to see and a heart to find your presence in all that we do, in all that we face daily. Give us the light of your presence at all times, giving witness to Your love for us. Forgive us of our sins and those times when we doubt Your ability to bring us through. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
