The steadfast of mind will keep perfect peace. The mind that is steadfast will keep and hold to peace.
Merriam-Webster defines steadfast as firmly fixed in place; not subject to change.
A steadfast mind is in a constant state of steadiness and devoted to maintaining peace.
Right now we are living in a world that peace just doesn’t describe, too well. There is a constant state of unrest. For everyone? No, not for everyone. Those who have a steadfast mind and trust in the Lord, that same Lord will keep them in perfect peace. A rock to stand on. Not just any rock, but an everlasting rock.
~Thought For Today~
I suppose a life that never changes would get pretty boring. Change is good. Challenges? They are builders of faith. We need to walk in constant peace no matter what comes our way. If we find ourselves missing peace of mind, we have allowed someone or something to take it from us.
God has promised that if we will bring to Him a mind that is steadfast in a belief in Christ, He will keep that mind in perfect peace. A mind strengthened by belief in a God who goes before us and behind us. Calls us His child. A mind that believes the Holy Spirit stays with us, guiding us continually and interceding on our behalf when we don’t know what we need to say or do next.
So, whatever is before us today, may bring a challenge. But, it will not take our peace. Find your steadfast mind and nurture it daily with a devotion to the study of God’s word, strengthening it perfectly to meet the day and all of its challenges.

~Prayer For Today~
Hello Father! We desire minds that are steadfast and operating in perfect peace. We pray that our trust is in You and You only. Not in the government. Not in people. Not in anything but You. Just You. Forgive us of our sins. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
