Our lives have been a series of changes. Many changes. Everything about us has changed over the course of our life.
Our appearance has certainly changed in the span of our life thus far. We surely have changed our clothing preferences over the years. For women, new makeup comes along and we change. A fragrance we once preferred, has changed.
What we used to enjoying eating no longer interests our taste buds. We have found new delicacies to enjoy.
As we have moved through life, our friends, jobs and neighborhoods have certainly changed.
Spiritually, once we were lost and then we were found. Grace found us. A big change!
~Thought For Today~
There is one thing that has never changed. God is still in His holy temple. He has been there since He struck the heavens with light and scattered the stars. Jesus is sitting at His right hand. He has been there since He gave the commission to His disciples to feed His sheep.
The grace I received when I met Jesus in 1967 still covers me. It has covered me through one change after another. Some changes were not good ones and had to be reckoned with. God had to take hold of me and turn me. Corrections had to be made. I have changed and changed and changed.
If we have a relationship with Jesus, the only thing that has not changed in our lives, is Jesus Christ. He is the same as He was when we opened the door and invited Him in. In my personal experience, on the long journeys, walking with family as they made their way back home to Jesus, He never changed. He held me close in times of sorrow. He has cheered me on in my success and encouraged me in my failures. Yes, cheered me on, even in my failures. He kept me walking forward. He is still where He has been since I found Him…right beside me. You may have had very similar experiences. If you do not know Jesus, I urge you to seek Him and find Him. It will be life changing.
No matter how we change, whether it is for good or those times when we have slipped in our walk with Him…He never has left us. His grace, that we did not deserve in the first place, has never left us. The forgiveness? He doesn’t extend it on Monday and take it back on Friday. His love? There is no love on this earth, like His love. Earthly love can be withdrawn for little or no reason. If we fail someone’s idea of perfection, they can be gone. Love relationships can fracture and crumble, but not our relationship with Jesus. We can be abandoned by the one who promised to love us through all things. Jesus will not abandon us. He loves us so much that He was willing to die for our past, present and future sins. No human that I know of is willing to die for MY sins!
We can meet tomorrow with all of its changes because we are confident that we can count on one thing. Jesus will be there, He will never leave, nor forsake us. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

~Prayer For Today~
Hello Father! We give all praise and glory to You! You never change. We change, but not You. We thank You for Your love, grace and mercy. The world may leave us behind, but You will never leave us. Forgive us of our sins. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
