Vessels Filled By The Father

The morning is here. God has lifted the sun to the Eastern sky once again. For those of us who are covered by snow, we cannot see the sun but we have confidence it is there.

Pour a cup of comfort…coffee or chocolate, you pick. Open God’s word. Take a breath of fresh air and let God remind us just who we are this morning. We are vessels of clay shaped and filled by His hands. A work in progress.

I found two pearls to dwell on this morning.

The night is over. We woke this morning in safety. We have another day to excel. To gift someone with our attention, our support, our encouragement, our experience…our prayers.

God is on His throne in heaven. Jesus is sitting at His right hand. Scripture says that our God is ruling over everything. What comfort. He knows what our day holds. He knows who we will meet. He knows the fears or discomfort that may pass through our life today.  That dear friends is great news. We are vessels. He fills us up to overflowing not so we can hold water that will soon become stagnate. He fills us up, so we can pour out. A continuous outpouring of the love of Christ in us.

Thought For Today:
God fills us up with His goodness while we rest and read His word. Our vessels are full. What are we going to pour out of our vessel today? His goodness, mercy, benevolence, kindness and righteousness? Or bitterness, animosity, exasperation, coveting and prejudice? He has taken care of His part. Now it is our turn. Step up and pour out what has blessed you. Be vessels of blessing today.

Scripture For Today:
Psalm 3:5
5 I lay down and slept, yet I woke up in safety, for the Lord was watching over me. (NLT)

Psalm 103:19

19 The Lord has made the heavens his throne; from there he rules over everything. (NLT)

Prayer For Today:

Hello Father! Thank You for singing over us through the night. We pray that we go about our day pouring out nothing but Your love, mercy and forgiveness. That which is good.  Forgive us of our sins. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
