Yet I Will Rejoice

I am so thankful for the blessings that our Father has brought my way. Sometimes, in times of difficulty we feel that God has turned away from us and let the enemy get a foothold in our life

I heard a message at church Sunday that was exceptional. One thing that stayed with me concerned the Seven Wonders of the world. Apparently, a teacher had requested that the students write what they thought the Seven Wonders of the World would be. Some quickly wrote their selections such as the Great Pyramids and St. Peter’s Basilica to name two. This one young lady was struggling with her list. The teacher went to her to see if the class could help her. She admitted she was having difficulty. He asked what she had so far. Her answer is so perfect. She had listed: sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch, laughter and love.

It truly is those blessings, that if we have them we have everything. So dear family and friends. I challenge you to think this season of thankfulness on those wonders. Any other thing we can add to our list is an added bonus.

Thought For the Day:
We see things that just astound us. Perhaps, even provokes us to a feeling of despondency and hopelessness. That is a lie perpetrated by the enemy. He wants to break you, steal your peace and most importantly wants you to feel abandoned by our Father in Heaven. One of my favorite scriptures is below. I have read it hundreds of times. It encourages me to keep trusting and be happy… No matter what circumstance I find myself. I share it in the hopes that you will take it deep into your heart so when that fear begins to creep in, it will come to your mind.

I will post my next devotional on Monday, December 1st. I am going to find the peace of the season and see how many “wonders” I can add to my list. May God richly bless you this Thanksgiving. We will visit again soon.

 Habakkuk 3:17-19
17 Though the fig tree may not blossom,
Nor fruit be on the vines;
Though the labor of the olive may fail,
And the fields yield no food;
Though the flock may be cut off from the fold,
And there be no herd in the stalls—
18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD,
I will joy in the God of my salvation.

19 The LORD God is my strength;
He will make my feet like deer’s feet,
And He will make me walk on my high hills.

Prayer For Today:
Hello Father!
You are an awesome God! There is none like You. You bless us in subtle ways. Father, I pray that we are able to think on the goodness, find our blessings and leave all the controversy, turmoil and strife in Your strong hands. In the name of your precious Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
